There have been a few cases of the Rapt II Ultra nylon gears meshed up.  Bafang has been very helpful in fixing the issue with us and providing anyone affected with new metal gears that they just implemented.  These new metal gears are more durable and do not affect the noise level or efficiency in any noticeable ways.

So, yes it's terrible if it happens to your bike, and we are sorry if it happens to you.  But the silver lining is, we stand behind out product and you'll get a brand new replacement.  Even for Hawaii and Alaska.  Our main problem with shipping the whole bike to these places is the bulk, weight and batteries.  We are just a hair within the shipping dimension limit.  It'll be easier when we don't have to deal with these issues.

Always wear a helmet.  Pls alway carry with you a "missing link" or "magic link" and a small chain tool.  With a powerful motor sometimes the chain might pop.  Be aware that your bike has an 8 (24/7) or 9 speed (Rapt, Rapt II) chain.  Pls specify that, because they have different pitch.

As everyone who rides a fat bike can attest, a puncture tire is no fun on a fat ebike. Always carry with you a can of tire or tube sealant, something like this:
