Hi Team MOAR

The latest update on the delivery of our bikes

I am sure everyone is wondering when will their bikes be delivered.  Our team has been working hard behind the scene to deliver these bikes.  And finally the results are in.

We are proud to announce that our re-engineered frame, manufactured by a new factory, has passed the mountain bike tests with flying colors at TUV, the German testing powerhouse.  We now prepare to get our final sample bikes and do a final check out with the new electrical subsystem.

I think the frame is now ready for prime time.

With these final steps in place we are pushing the factory to start production of the frames ASAP.  Which we hope would be done within March.  This means we are finally seeing the light in delivering the bikes in April.

We understand how hard this delay must have been for you, they have been brutal for us.  But your safety and enjoyment of the bike are the first things on our mind.  As we have made multiple design changes to beef up the frame in anticipation of the more powerful rear engine. And to make sure other key features such as the full suspension and ease of use are not compromised.

You shall see in the coming updates, the other improvements we have made to the bike.  Things that are again ahead of the curve.  Which is what MOAR bikes are all about.

Thanks for your patience!

Pls check instagram for video on the test.

Hi Team MOAR.  We have some updates on the delivery of the bikes.

We have been working on delivering the bikes for the last few months and making good progress.  we are now down to mass producing the frames..

Last update saw us starting the test on our frame at TUV.  The frame passed the new European EN15194-2017 standard.  Even though that’s all that’s required, we decided to go one further and go for the ISO EN4210_Mountain Bike Test just for our own peace of mind.

This requires the frame to pass a much more rigorous sets of test standards, at over twice the amount of force.  This is taking longer than we anticipated and is causing a delay in the delivery of the frames

We are now aiming for Jan delivery, unfortunately we are also running up against Chinese New Year holidays which runs for 2-3 weeks for some factories. Once we have a clearer picture on the test and frame production we’ll be able to give an update on the final delivery date.

We apologise for this delay.  And we are working overtime to make it happen.

Testing at TUV is delayed another week.  We went ahead with prepping for the frame productions anyway.  With all the material ready and prepped we can start production immediately.

Hi Team MOAR.  some of you are probably wondering what we are doing to address what we did wrong the first time around.  It’s something we have been thinking about a lot.

First I want to thank everyone of TEAM MOAR for having so mush trust in us and being so supportive.  We know we messed up royally last time, yet so many of you stood by us, offering words of encouragement and continue to defend and champion us when you should have been mad as hell and storming the gate.  I am so humbled and I feel like you guy are not just our backers, but our friends.  This is one of the main reasons that I say everyone who placed a pledge for a bike will get her or his bike.

Now back to business.  We feel like we are in a much better position to deliver the bikes on time this time for a few reasons.

1. Manufacturing |  For us, the frame is the soul and bone of our bike.  Even if you pledge the entry level model you get the same advance frame with the rear suspension.  The manufacturing of the frame had been a major headache for us because everything was basically hand crafted and it took a lot of effort to maintain the level of quality that a full suspension fat bike requires, at scale.  We were pushing the factory to the limit.  they delivered but not without a lot of delays and screaming at each other.

We switch to a new factory and new manufacturing processes that would allow even more precision than we had last time, scale the production up easily and maintain the tightest control over the quality of the frame.

2. Productions | Watching the production process we learned where we can streamline assembly and re-designed some parts to make life easier for the workers on the assembly line.  Reducing chances of mistakes and complications.

3. Logistics | A lot of our logistics issues arose because we offer a lot of customizations and data management got out of hand.  We are investing into a logistics system where we can better track and manage the data.  From tracking order to ordering parts to inventory to manufacturing and finally logistics.  This is still in progress but we feel we are on the right track and once we wrangled the data we’ll cut down on annoying delays and mix ups.

4. Communications |  That was a major issue where we failed miserably.  We now have someone who will help take over more of the communications.  Her name is Missy and she’ll be coming online more as she learns the intricacy of our bikes.

I’m sure there will be new challenges and we’ll make more mistakes.  But we are ready to learn and  we feel like we are in a better position to handle them as they arise.
